The Priest

An individual who wants to become a priest would focus more on the mechanics of a ritual. He or she would learn how to properly lead all the rituals and would often be the ones who others would seek for guidance. Often the participants of the rituals would ask questions of the Priest so the Priest would have to have a good understanding of the entire process of the ritual or spell. The Priest would more likely to be similar to a modern day manager. If you desired to be The Priest, you would have an interest in becoming an ambassador, judge, or theologian. Priest can also be scientists.

The Druid or Pagan Priest can be seen as the individual who helps with the celebrations. They tend to meet or congregate in circles. This is because they believe that is should be a circle meaning that is has no head, or a beginning or end. A circle is very similar to the turning of the wheel, and the cycle of the seasons which is very important to the Pagan community. They believed that everything had its season.

A Priest, a mediator, an advisor to kings, perhaps even to be a king, the Druid grade is the third portion of the Druidry. It is the position of the Priest that helps lead the people. They will lead the individuals under them out of the forest into the meadow. They have the ability show clarity when there is confusion. Druids throughout history and legend are a reliable source of teaching, magic and power.

Historically the Druid was the Priest of one of the largest of the Celtic religions. People believe that they were sun worshippers however they were the priests of a Goddess worship path. However, most people believe that a Druid and a Priest are separate individuals. The chief responsibilities and privileges of the Priest is to serve as advisor to kings and to chiefs. The Priest is the judge, teacher, and as a ritual leader and authority within worship and ceremony. They were also philosophers, astronomers, and mathematicians and were in general the keepers of the knowledge store of the entire society which was similar to Ovates.
